"I am throwing all my good works overboard, and lashing myself to the plank of free grace; for I hope to swim to glory on it." - Charles Spurgeon
The church's one mission is to proclaim the person and work of Jesus Christ to THE END OF THE EARTH
Consecutive Expository Preaching
CrossLife is committed to consecutive expository preaching. What is consecutive expository preaching? It is simply preaching that understands that each book of the Bible has a central message intended by the author. Therefore in order to understand what the message is, you need to understand the whole, not just the parts. Consecutive exposition is making sure you're preaching through an entire book because that's the way the book was communicated by God. God didn't just give us verses or segments. That is not how the Bible works. In Scripture, God gave us a message through an author to an audience. That's why you need all of Romans from chapter 1 thru chapter 16 or all of Galatians from beginning to end in order to get the whole picture that God intended. Consecutive exposition unfolds the whole book and communicates the author's intention and message, not ours. To receive that message, we have to see each of the 66 books of Scripture in their respective entirety. Don't settle for less.
